Meet Liverpool kids who will shine all through FA cup

Meet the new Liverpool kids who will be facing the coming FA cup with Wolves.

Liverpool travel to Molineux on Monday night, with Jurgen Klopp ready to throw some of his young players to the Wolves in the FA Cup third round.

Curtis Jones, Rafael Camacho and Ki-Jana Hoever are among those tipped to feature as the Reds look to ensure their spot in the fourth round.

Here, Sportsmail tells you all you need to know about the three players looking to follow the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and tread the well worn path from the Reds’ academy to first-team.CURTIS JONES

Age: 17

Position: Attacking midfield

Senior appearances: 0

One of the standout performers on Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the United States, Curtis Jones’ long wait for a competitive bow could be about to end.

The midfielder, still only 17, is one of the brightest prospects in the academy and is the latest talent to rise from the streets of Merseyside to Melwood.

The youngster, who can play across midfield and in attack, oozes confidence. He enjoys dribbling at his defenders and has quick feet.

Jones grew up just outside Liverpool city centre and for the past year he has been training with Klopp’s first-team while getting game-time with the club’s Under 23s.RAFAEL CAMACHO

Age: 18

Position: Right midfield/right back

Senior appearances: 0

Another youngster who has been honing his skills alongside the cream of Klopp’s squad over the past 12 months.

The versatile Portuguese has yet to make a first-team appearance since joining in 2015 following a successful trial. But he is well-regarded at Anfield and has already caught the attention of clubs across Europe.

He is reportedly wanted by Sporting Lisbon, where he spent some time during his youth career, while the Liverpool Echo also claim several Championship clubs have asked about the 18-year-old.KI-JANA HOEVER

Age: 16

Position: Right back/centre back

Senior appearances: 0

Young Dutch defender Hoever only moved to Liverpool in September, but already the 16-year-old is on the cusp of his first-team debut.

The youth international began life with the club’s Under 18s after joining from Ajax but his rise has been rapid since, with Klopp claiming it’s been a ‘joy to watch’ him progress.

He had already moved up to the Under 23s when he was last month called to train with the first team following injuries to Gomez and Joel Matip.
