WWE WrestleMania 2018 results: WrestleMania 34! It’s now over! And we covered it from start to finish! WWE’s biggest show of the year went down in New Orleans, and we live blogged the whole thing.

After a series of entertaining matches, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns challenged each other for the Universal Championship in the final bout of the night, which ended up as a massive disappointment.

With fans unsure who to cheer or boo considering the rumours of Lesnar leaving WWE for UFC soon, and the general apathy towards Reigns, the match failed to sparkle as it should. Lesnar surprisingly won the contest after hitting six of his F5 finishing moves, though the closing shot of the entire show was Reigns moving slowly towards the dressing room after his defeat.

It was a night of surprises in New Orleans, including The Undertaker defeating John Cena inside three minutes. Cena had been trying to get Undertaker into the ring for one more match, but had his words ignored for over a month. The 16-time World Champion initially sat in the crowd at Wrestlemania hoping for The Undertaker to show up, and he got his wish when Undertaker finally turned up for the match.WWE WrestleMania 2018 results: Wrestlemania 34 results: Ronda Rousey and Daniel Bryan impress, while Roman Reigns fails

But Cena could not get any momentum early on, and was chokeslammed and Tombstoned by Undertaker, who pinned him in less than five minutes.   A further surprise occurred in the second main card match of the night, when Charlotte Flair became the first person to defeat Asuka in WWE.

Asuka’s streak had been ongoing for 514 days, but it was Charlotte who won their excellent clash with an innovative submission maneuver. Ronda Rousey could be a future opponent for Flair, especially after she impressed in her WWE debut at Wrestlemania. Rousey teamed with Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, and looked a complete natural in the ring.

The 31-year-old delighted fans by wearing Rowdy Roddy Piper’s leather jacket on her way to the ring, and she maintained many of his mannerisms in her performance. Just as the match looked to be ending with both Triple H and McMahon in submissions, Angle was thrown into Rousey, and then tossed out the ring. Rousey finally picked up the victory after submitting McMahon with a fierce armbar.

There was a triumphant return for Daniel Bryan on the card, as he competed for the first time in three years alongside Shane McMahon against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

Bryan looked like he was still on top form as he submitted Zayn to claim the victory, and the former WWE Champion can now look ahead to future bouts with the likes of SmackDown stars AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Styles successfully defended his WWE Championship in the co-main event against Nakamura, who turned heel following his defeat.

Three further WWE championships switched hands on the show, including the Raw tag-team titles, won by Braun Strowman and a small boy named Nicholas over Sheamus and Cesaro.
