The Mary Poppins screening comes as Emily was a surprise snub at the BAFTA nominations earlier this week, despite having won critical claim for her titular role in the movie and a host of other awards season nods.
Mary Poppins Returns only received nominations in the technical categories for BAFTA, with three nods in total for Best Film Music, Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.
Emily was expected to compete in the Leading Actress category, but instead Olivia Colman (The Favourite), Lady Gaga (A Star Is Born), Glenn Close (The Wife), Melissa McCarthy (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) and Viola Davis (Widows) will go head to head.
The BAFTA snub was a huge shock as up until now Emily has been included in all the major 2019 awards nominations, including the Screen Actors Guild Awards (where she received a double nod for Mary Poppins and A Quiet Place) and Critics Choice.
