Manchester united has set bid for Roma star kostas Manolas [£30.5m].
Manchester United have added Roma defender Kostas Manolas to their list of transfer targets.
The Greek centre back, 27, has a £30.5million clause in his contract although it only becomes active in the summer, according to the Mirror.
Also on United’s radar are Porto’s Eder Militao, Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly and Spurs centre back Toby Alderweireld.Former manager Jose Mourinho had wanted to sign a central defender and an attacker during the summer.
Caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not expect United to make any signings in the January transfer window.
Solskjaer has said he will voice his ‘opinion’ on any prospective deals but he is planning to end the season without any new additions to his squad.’I’m happy with squad I’ve got,’ Solskjaer said. ‘I don’t expect anyone to come in but obviously if the club have targeted and identified a few and I think they might fit here, I’ll give my thumbs up. But it’s not just my decision.
‘Nobody had to tell me I had loads of talented players [to inherit at United]. I can see that from outside.
‘We didn’t speak too much about what’s been going on, to be honest. It was about seeing what you can do to go back to the way we used to play, the way Man United are supposed to play, exciting football.’
