Bordeaux 1-4 Paris Saint-Germain: Cavani and Di Maria score two each to secure spot in final

Unai Emery’s men comfortably beat their hosts to book a place in the Coupe de la Ligue final, with the South American duo netting two goals each

Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria fired Paris Saint-Germain into the final of the Coupe de la Ligue on Tuesday with two goals each as they beat Bordeaux 4-1.

Di Maria opened the scoring 19 minutes into the game when he sent a sublime free-kick in off the underside of the bar.

Bordeaux were level shortly after the half-hour mark as Diego Rolan tapped in a rebound.

But Cavani popped up in the 60th minute to take on a Lucas Moura through ball and smash home.

Cavani added a third for his side with 15 minutes to spare. Rabiot knocked a Marquinhos header towards goal and the Uruguayan did the rest.

Di Maria got another to his name, taking the ball on the edge of the box and blasting it into the bottom corner.

Unai Emery’s men will find out their final opponents on Wednesday when Monaco take on Nancy.
